Freshly collected untreated Lithuanian honey, poured into a glass container, sealed and kept in dark, cool rooms.
Real honey with no additives contains the ability to crystalize and gets thicker with time. That is natural process and it does not affect quality of the product. If there is a white crust of glucose on top of honey – it is a sign of natural, untreated bee honey. Artificial or heated honey do not get any thicker. This process begins approximately three weeks after the honey is collected and poured into containers.
Honey is probably the only food product on planet Earth that does not spoil. If stored in recommended conditions you can forget about it for years and it still be good when you remember having it.
Honey is not only a source of glucose, fructose and carbohydrates, it also promotes the release of serotonin (the so-called “hormone of happiness”).
Finally, honey can be used not only for eating or cooking, but also for compresses, face masks, body scrubs, massages or in a bathhouse.
